I sit here on my flight to Canada from Florida, perplexed.

The complex emotions that I’m experiencing right now are overwhelming. I’ve very sad that I have to leave the people who became my family. People that I experienced so many life changing things with. Not to say I’ll never see them again, I’m sure I will.

Right now though, my heart is heavy. Also leaving behind a unique, complicated, yet beautiful kind of love is heart wrenching. This is the opportunity for me to really evaluate what and who are truly important to me. I feel like I’m on the cusp of breakthrough.

Getting rid of my belongings was a freeing experience and slightly stressful, but I can say that I’m ready for what’s to come.

This year has been quite difficult and I know that I’m stronger, smarter and more mature because of it.

I want to be open, excited and welcome this next chapter.

Still so many unknowns, and for someone that is a planner, organizer and likes to be in control, this makes it a true test and challenge.

I will thrive and come out of this happier and more content and successful than ever. I want to be creative and just make a living off of it while learning and staying current in the tech world. This next step is an opportunity for both.

Here’s hoping all goes well and I make it back to Canada on my work permit and life in Montreal is truly where I am meant to be at this point in my life.
